This qualification reflects job roles requiring well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts within the personal injury management sector.  It may involve supervision or leadership and guidance with some limited responsibility for the claims processing of others.

Possible work functions may include:

  • Processing workers compensation claims within a large organisation;
  • Coordinating case claims;
  • Analysing claims and resolving disputes;
  • Leading and supporting a team.
  • Monitoring and processing claims.

Qualification Requirements

This qualification is made up of 13 units including:

  • 3 Core units
  • 10 Elective units

This qualification is suitable for indivduals who:

  • Have approximately 6 months experience or more working in a case management or related role within the personal injury management sector and are currently working in the role of a Claims Manager.
  • Wish to improve their existing skills or obtain formal certification of their existing skills.
  • Wish to transition to a more complex / responsible case management role.

Delivery Method

This course is delivered via correspondence.

 The course will contain the following elements:

  • An introductory session where course structure, delivery methods and assessment protocols will be reviewed.
  • At this session the first Participant Guide will be provided and reviewed with students.
  • Students will be required to complete a Language, Literacy & Numeracy assessment and attain the entry level scores for the five core skills (Learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy)
  • All students will be required to develop a portfolio of evidence of completed activities throughout the course.
